You and me are so alike. I feel you.
I tried so many diets, and I always had
the same results: I lost weight, then
I gained weight.
Losing weight wasn’t really hard, I am very
disciplined, I think the hardest part for
me was keeping the weight off.
Two times in my life I have been at my
heaviest. Once after my pregnancy, and
second after moving to Phoenix, AZ.
I lost my pregnancy weight by following
the Atkins plan (it is a ketogenic diet),
but it was exhausting having to track all
my meals, plus I developed constipation,
gout and joint inflammation.
I quit Atkins because I am lazy and
I don’t like to weigh all my food, calculate
the macros, deduct fiber from carbs to
figure the net carbs, etc., and yes...I gained back
all the pounds and more.
When I saw the pounds melting off while I was doing Atkins,
I knew a ketogenic diet was the answer for me,
but I didn't want to measure, calculate and track my food.
I developed the “no tracking macros” plan, I reached my
goal weight and I haven't gained a pound back since.
I will be happy to help you to reach your goals. As a mommy I understand how busy our life becomes when we have children, husbands, jobs, etc. Who needs the extra burden of measuring and tracking food? I did it for so long, I know the hassle.
My husband was always upset with me because my food was cold by the time I finished tracking. The worst part was going out for dinner. Every time we went to restaurants it took me 20-25 minutes to figure out what could I eat, entering food and making sure I wasn't over my macros limit. It was so frustrating to find that my food tracking app has the same foods several times with different nutritional values. I had no clue what food value was correct and I had no idea if my macros were really on point. So, I found myself using more than one app to compare nutrition values for my foods.
Now, using my “easy keto plate” template, my life is simpler and my meals are a time to indulge not to stress out with apps and numbers. I love to cook, and I love to eat (I don’t like to clean my kitchen after I cook haha). Something I really enjoy is to develop new keto recipes, and recreate old recipes into keto style ones.
Now that I am leaner, I actually enjoy being active. I enrolled myself at the gym, I do spinning, I lift weights and I am loving it. I have been reading about kinetics, biomechanics, nutrition, fitness and women’s physiology. Womens bodies are incredible but as we age our needs change. I am 46 years young and I never felt as fantastic as today.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer. I am specializing in a specific population: women. My goal is to help women my age, mommies, busy girls, and women who want to be healthy lean and strong.
